Note that
if you use xv, you need to register the software with the author (see the Licence info).
You may quickly get a copy of xpaint-2.1.1.tar.Z, xloadimage.4.1.tar.gz, or xv-3.10a.tar.gz for UNIX systems. Note that this copy may not be as recent as the previous reference however.
To set up the TIFF viewer, enter the following into the HelperApplication or
ExternalViewer dialog box in your Web Browser:

Note that you may need to supply the complete path to the application.
Also, some browsers need a '.' preceeding the extensions entry.

There are several Mac based tiff viewers available. jpeg-view is one of many tiff viewers (contrary to the name, it actually views many formats).
You may quickly get a copy of jpegview-33-fat.hqx for the Macintosh.
Note that this copy may not be as recent as the previous reference however.
Note that you will use the Browse button to find the location the application on your disk. Also, some browsers need a '.' preceeding the extensions entry.
