This is a test
mesh. If you can not view it, you need to install a viewer:
add the following viewer entry to your mailcap file:
model/mesh; meshtv -x meshtvx -i %s
where meshtv is a MESH viewer.
You may quickly get a copy of
meshtv4_2.irix5.tar.gz for Irix5
meshtv4_2.irix6.tar.gz for Irix6
meshtv4_2.aix.tar.gz for IBM AIX 3
meshtv4_2.osf1.tar.gz for OSF
meshtv4_2.linux.tar.gz for Linux
and the meshtv-install and INSTALL_NOTES.
The documentation files for MeshTV: Getting Started, User Manual, and Command Line Interface.
Note that these copies may not be as recent as the previous references however.
There are presently no PC Windows MESH viewers available. The meshtv viewer is compilable under Linux however.
There are presently no Mac MESH viewers available.
Information about the model/* MIME type is contained in RFC 2077.
Additional information about PACT and SILO is available, as is a local copy of the SILO User's Guide. More example documents are available from the SILO data directory including the sphere crashing into the plate.
A similar program, called FAST
which runs only on SGI workstations is similar to, but not yet compatable with,
the MESH MIME type. FAST is developed by Val Watson at NASA Ames.
