HTML Document Test

This is a test document .

The viewer for the HTML format should be built into your WWW browser. If you can not view all of the document, then your WWW browser is probably installed incorrectly or is out of date.

This document type uses the

   text/html
MIME type.

Netscape

You may get a version of Netscape from the network.

Support for Netscape is also available.

LLNL.GOV users (ONLY) can get it from the DCSP server.

Internet Explorer

You may get a current copy of Microsoft's Internet Explorer from the Microsoft site. Presently, these browsers are available for Macs and PCs. You may quickly get a local copy of:

      dlmin30d.exe for Win31

      msie301m95.exe for Win95

      msie301mnt.exe for WinNT 4.0

      ie30full.hqx for PPC Macs

Note that these local copies may not be as recent as the previous reference.

Mosaic

You may get a current copy of NCSA's Mosaic for each system from NCSA. The NCSA site is VERY busy and is hard to get onto during the day. Note that the Windows version of this viewer requires the Win32s sub-system (w32sOLE.exe).

You may quickly get a local copy of NCSAMosaic200B12.68K.hqx for older Macs, NCSAMosaic200B12.PPC.hqx for PPC Macs, mos30.exe for Windows, and Mosaic-2.6* for UNIX systems. Note that these copies may not be as recent as those at the previous reference however.

Developmental Browsers:

You may get a copy of Amaya from www.w3.org. This is under development and is only available for a few platforms.

You may get a current copy of INRIA's Arena, an HTML 3 browser, for a few systems (typically UNIX only). Note however, that this is a preliminary version and is still a little unstable. You may also get local copies of the arena* files for UNIX systems.

You may get a copy of ForReview Lite Express for PC Window's platforms.

Platform Specific Browsers:

InterCon Systems Corporation manufactures networking software for Macintosh and Windows based computers including a W3 browser for each platform.

Additional platform specific requirements:

PC Windows users will need a socket driver, like WinSock. You may quickly get a local copy of twsk20b.zip. Note that this version may not be as current as the previous reference however. This is a shareware program and you'll need to register it in line with the license agreement.

Foreign Language Browsers:

There are a series of foreign language browsers available for PC Windows called VOL from Video On Line.

Included at this site are a number of foreign language pages including: Italiano, English, Français, Español, Nederlands, Deutsch, Português, Albanian, Polski, and several oriental and other languages.
