CGM Image Test

This is a test image . If you can not view it, you need to install a viewer:

• UNIX:

  add the following viewer entry to your mailcap file:
  

  image/cgm; ralcgm  -d xw  %s
  

  where ralcgm, is one of the many CGM viewers. When using ralcgm, you may need to manually push the Update button on the ralcgm screen inorder for the object to be initially drawn.

  You may quickly get a copy of ralcgm-3.50.tar.Z for UNIX systems. Note that these copies may not be as recent as the previous reference however.
  
  
  

  Another program, called GPLOT is also available which views CGM files. Contact Anjana Kar with questions/comments after your get the software (from the above link).
  
  
  
  

• PCs:

  There are several Windows based CGM viewers available. To set up the CGM viewer, enter the following into the HelperApplication or ExternalViewer dialog box in your Web Browser:
  
  

  MIME type / subtype	image/cgm
  extensions	cgm
  application	ralcgm

  A CGM viewer, called ulview is also available.

  Additionally, a CGM viewer called ralcgm, is also available.

  You may quickly get a copy of ralcgm's install.exe file or ulview11.zip.

  Note that you may need to supply the complete path to the application. Also, some browsers need a '.' preceeding the extensions entry.

• Mac:

  There are several Mac based CGM viewers available. yoric-10-gist is a CGM viewer for the Mac. You may quickly get a copy of yorick-10-gist.hqx for the Macintosh. Note that this copy may not be as recent as the previous reference however.
  
  To set up the CGM viewer, enter the following into the HelperApplication or ExternalViewer dialog box in your Web Browser:
  
  

  MIME type / subtype	image/cgm
  extensions	cgm
  application	macgist

  Note that you will use the Browse button to find the location the application on your disk. Also, some browsers need a '.' preceeding the extensions entry.
